Christa Mullins, LMSW (she/her)

Clinical Therapist

TL;DR: I am a Black, queer, womanist therapist committed to helping you tap into your own liberation and authenticity. To me, joy and healing are acts of resistance. We can navigate the complex relationship between sexual/gender identity, racial/ethnic identity, and spirituality and walk together along your path to self-discovery. Your truth is welcome here.

Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday (virtual or in person at our Decatur office), Wednesday and Thursday (virtual only)

Do you feel disconnected from your purpose? Maybe you’ve heard conflicting messages from family, community, religion, or society, and you’re wondering who you really are. Do you also wonder what is preventing you from embracing your gifts and following your intuition?

As Audre Lorde gently reminds us, “our feelings are our most genuine paths to knowledge.”

Your feelings matter, your experiences matter, and your healing matters. You don’t have to navigate this world alone. It would be an honor to walk with you.

My name is Christa, and I am a therapist at Grounded Wellbeing. I am a Black queer therapist with a social work background committed to helping you tap into your own liberation and authenticity. My approach to therapy is informed by an understanding that healing is political. I create space for you to explore your identities, experiences, and agency by utilizing frameworks that challenge hegemonic societal narratives.

In this non-judgmental space, laughter is a balm. I am focused on fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship that acknowledges systemic oppression while empowering folks to cultivate resilience, self-determination, and joy.

Outside of the office, you can catch me with my nose in a book, watching anime, or taking photographs of the world around me. You can also bet that a pair of noise-cancelling headphones and a journal are close by.

In a world that continually tells us to reject ourselves, I look forward to the opportunity to help you reclaim a sense of self, lean into your uniqueness, and know that your existence is enough

If you think we might be a good fit, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation here.

I am happy to chat with you.
