TL;DR: You’ll find me to be laid back – I value comfort & safety, and I encourage you to show up to sessions in a way that you’re most comfortable, too. Together, we can find a path to healing that works specifically for you through in a way that is gender-affirming, trauma-sensitive, & harm-reducing.

Availability: Wednesday, Friday & Saturday from 11AM-7:30PM; In-Person or Virtual at our Decatur office

Are you tired of feeling like you're always in survival mode? Trying and struggling to find a way out of using substances? Maybe you're responding to things in a way you don't understand. Or, like substances have been the only way to feel safe or comfortable in your skin, making it incredibly hard to go without them. Perhaps you’ve tried quitting in the past, but felt like the deeper cause of the substance use wasn’t addressed, or that the treatment was not individualized enough to your specific needs. I know how exhausting this cycle can be.

In a society that is based in heterosexual and cisgender privilege, navigating recovery can be especially hard for queer, trans, and gender expansive folks. I collaborate with my clients to find empowerment in the recovery process, always working from an anti-oppressive, gender-affirming, trauma-sensitive, & harm reduction lens. If traditional 12-step methods haven’t worked for you, we will work together to develop an individualized approach that fits better. And once you’re ready, we will explore what is at the root of the substance use to help sustain long term recovery — whatever recovery might look like for you.

Recovery should feel empowering. Let’s take the shame out of substance use treatment.
