Maggie Baynham, MS, NCC (she/her)
Clinical Therapist
TLDR: You’ll find me to be curious, equal parts silly and serious, supportive, direct, creative, steadfast, and funny (hopefully). Our work together is a dance where you set the pace. I am on a mission to ignite growth and acceptance alongside you. I do this by illuminating the meaning in your stories with a lot of care, creativity, honesty, curiosity, and a little humor. While I work with all neuro-types, I have a passion for neurodiversity.
Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday (Telehealth or In-person at Decatur office) and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Telehealth only)
Hi! Hello! Welcome!
Looking for someone to truly see you and understand? Someone to really dig in with curiosity to understand who you are without pretending? Even if maybe you’re just starting to understand yourself?
Neuro, gender, queer affirming and trauma-informed, I am here to meet you wherever it is that you are. Life is often about doing what you can with what you have but sometimes you’re left questioning: What do I have? Who am I in this world? What does it all mean? Why does being human feel like this? What am I meant for?
Be it neurodivergence, identity work, compassion fatigue, anxiety, self-doubt, grief, or trauma (and/or any combination), I am here to bear witness and hold whatever stories you choose to share and tell and process. How you choose to evolve, learn, grow, and show up is entirely up to you. I am also a firm believer that joy and rest are the way and critical to every human process: the healing process, acceptance process, grieving process, growing process, self-exploration process, and every other process alike.
Through meaning-making, connection, exploration, autonomy, non-binary thought processing (read: the opposite of black and white thinking), psycho-education, and a little bit of humor I seek to create a safe therapeutic space that is creative and fruitful and one that hinges on the unique identity of each of my clients. Come exactly as you are and I will join just the same.
When I am not in the role of therapist I am running a tiny but mighty cat rescue. The work I do in rescue, as an advocate, strongly informs how I show up as a therapist: steadfast, committed, intentional, curious, resourceful, tender, unwavering, direct, and forever finding humor in the hardships.
Through an existential lens I reach for tools from ACT, CBT, IFS, mindfulness, and humanistic approaches often using art and nature as well as the personal interests of my clients.
Life is hard, let’s create some space to ground, grow, connect, giggle and most importantly not go at it alone.

Fun Facts!
I snort when I laugh.
I have 11 cats and 2 dogs which doesn’t include my constant rotation of foster animals (yes, you read that right).
As the child of two artists (very different from each other), I love all things artisan-made. I crave art in every form.
My favorite place in the world is sitting, in my spot, in my best friend’s living room watching reality TV. There is no place cozier, and no place I feel more at ease.
