Clinical Therapist
TL;DR: I am a warm, community-oriented therapist who helps clients gently process trauma, anxiety, and life transitions. With a systems and collectivist lens, I create an affirming space for you to feel, heal and grow without the pressure to “fix” yourself and rush the process.

Do you feel like there is something missing from your life? Do you have past life events that seem to be holding you back? Are you looking for a steady, grounded space to land and grow? Too often, we are expected to push past traumas and grow without processing our lived experiences. Sometimes we think our way through things instead of feeling our way through them. Or we may be told to just “get over it” and “move on”. I’m here to help you lean into the discomfort of feeling all of the things and will work with you as you move through them at your pace and without the pressure and judgment. I’d be honored to be a neutral person to help you navigate the waters of life and witness your story. Sometimes we need a sounding board!
My name is Sho, and I am an extroverted clinician that values community and individuality. I love the beauty of people, and feel that our differences are our strengths. I spend each day treating myself and others the way I would want my childhood self treated. I believe that asking for help is a strength that is often overlooked in our individualistic society. Community is what makes us stronger, and I try to work within my practice to emphasize the importance of forming and maintaining strong relationships for a healthy life.
My clinical approach centers around community building. While I practice with individuals, I believe that a collectivist lens is a crucial component of effective therapy. Our culture skews towards individualism, which often means that physical and mental health needs go unaddressed. I take a systems approach towards understanding trauma, depression, ADHD, OCD, and anxiety.
I work to create a space for all, including neurodivergent, queer and transgender people. My ideal client is someone who needs assistance processing trauma, but may not know where to start. I am looking for someone who is open to change, and is okay to sit with some discomfort in order to reach their goals. I do not expect you to be perfect, and will be as flexible as you need me to be! Therapy is not one-size fits all, and I work to tailor my approach for each individual person.
