Dayva Hubbard, LAMFT (she/her)

Clinical Therapist

TL;DR: Real talk, no judgment, and a social justice lens that means we're blaming systems, not you. Warm, a little funny, and rooted in values-based and mindfulness approaches with a flair for expressive arts. A genuine love for the complexity of human relationships and a special place in her heart for neurospicy folks and the humans who love them.

Availability: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM Thursday: 1:30 PM – 7:30 PM Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Ever feel like "a lot" doesn't even begin to cover it? Like the overwhelm, the isolation, the exhaustion — it's all just become the baseline? What if everything you've been struggling with wasn't actually a reflection of who you are? Whether you're navigating anxiety, working through the effects of trauma, or trying to make sense of relationships that feel stuck, you don't have to untangle it alone.

I'm Dayva, a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individuals, couples, and families. My work is grounded in the belief that so much of what we carry isn't a personal failing, it's the weight of systems, environments, and relationships that haven't always served us well. I approach therapy through a social justice lens, which means we will work together to name those systems honestly and make sure blame lands where it actually belongs, so you can stop internalizing what was never yours to carry.

My approach draws from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic and expressive arts techniques. I often invite clients to use visual tools to externalize what's hard to say out loud, because sometimes emotions demand to be witnessed and experienced. I tailor everything to you, gaining full understanding of your values, honoring your culture, identity, and the full complexity of who you are, including those who hold neurodiverse identities or navigate non-traditional relationships and family structures.

I care deeply about creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, not managed, not pathologized, just met where you are. That includes room for humor, levity, and even joy, because this work doesn't have to be heavy all the time.

When I'm not in session, you can find me on a nature walk trying to touch some actual grass, or curled up at home deep in a binge of tv shows or a book, especially a psychological thriller (recommendations are absolutely encouraged).

Fun Facts!

  1. I share my home with Almond, a cat I am allergic to, named after a nut I am also allergic to. She is not a certified therapy animal, but she will absolutely be in your virtual session anyway.

  2. I’m a Capricorn sun and rising with a Taurus moon, which means I am grounded, dependable, and apparently controversial — if you've had a bad Capricorn experience, I am so sorry and I am here to repair that relationship.

  3. I communicate primarily in info dumps, maintain approximately 47 open tabs at all times, and have perfected the art of the "want but will never buy" list… so if that sounds familiar, you're in good company here.
