Day Brazis, LMSW (they/them/theirs)

Senior Clinician & Kennesaw Team Lead

I am a queer and non-binary trans clinical therapist who works with adolescents and adults in individual, relationship, and family therapy. I offer counseling services for those who experience or have experienced anxiety, depression, trauma, sexual and/or gender identity development as well as assisting individuals and partners obtain a deeper understanding of their relationships. I find I work well with clients who have similar experiences to that of my own.

I have a passion for working with those who have experienced complex trauma, those within a relationship structure minority, and queer and gender-expansive youth. I particularly enjoy fostering connections with adolescents as we build trust in the therapeutic environment and help them cope with and navigate the complexities of adolescence.

I take a person-centered and strengths-based approach to the therapeutic environment, which means I offer individualized care that emphasizes the inherent strengths and capabilities of my clients.  I offer a compassionate, affirming, and non-judgmental space for us to work together, and I practice with a lens of radical acceptance and compassion. My therapy style incorporates components of multiple therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Relational-Cultural Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.

In my free time, you’ll likely find me spending time with my partner and our two dogs, hiking out in the woods, bird watching, or thrifting for a new flannel.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker under the supervision of Karen Zimmerman (LCSW), and I completed my Master of Social Work at the University of Georgia. I am licensed in both Georgia & South Carolina for telehealth therapy. My session fee is $150 for a 50-minute individual session and $175 for relationship sessions.
